So to you guys NOS means from Ford ? isn't that OEM ? I got 2 of these out of a Pep boys basement that was closed since I was a kid marked 89 cents

Yes, You have what is called "NORS" "New Old Replacement Stock"..

Yes.

NOS is New old stock from Ford.
An OEM part can be NOS, but a rusty, dented, cracked part is also OEM but not NOS.

What you got was a NORS part.

After a while the terms get to be easy to use.
