Default Dome lamp and switch

Regarding the two dome lamps installed in the B pillars of a 4 Door Sedan Deluxe, how do you remove the translucent plastic lens without damage in order to replace the bulb ? Thank you ! Kenny C.

I think there is a small Phillips head in the chrome trim vertically from bottom.

If there is no screw in the bezel (need to know year of car) then simply pry the metal bezel off. The lens will stay with the bezel. Do not attempt to remove the lens by itself.

Thank you ! Came off with a little gentle prying. Car, by the way, is a 1940 Ford. Bought the 40 Ford book the other day. Wow, what an awesome resource for a guy like me with his first 40 Ford. Looks like the # 63 3 contact bulb is the one for the pillar dome lights.

KeeKee: Check and see if you can find a 6V LED bulb that will fit your domelight.
Less heat generated.
