Running board step plates

I am going to install step plates on my 30 coupe is there any guidance or info on their placement on the running boards?

Put a towel down on your running board and step on it to get in your coupe. Take note of your foot placement and locate the step plate there. Get in an out a few times and see where your foot lands.
