Default '37 ford Pick-up front clip

Ok, some of you answered my question on swapping a car front clip with my pick-up. So next question, would a front clip from a '36 pick-up fit without any major modifications. I just don't like the front clip of the '37 pick-up, that grille is just fuggly in my opinion. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

I believe the clip will bolt right up.The 35-37 shared the same basic cab to my knowledge. I have always liked the look of the 37 grill, but you are the one who
it has to please so do it your way! You will probably have no problem selling your front sheetmetal if it's workable.

Pretty sure 35-7 front fenders are the same, so all you "should" have to do is look for a 35 or 36 hood and grill, and a radiator.

I'M A 35/6 guy myself, but still love the looks of all of them.

You can put a '35 or '36 truck hood and grille on your '37. Funny thing, '37 truck grilles were always more popular on other stuff than they were on what they came on. Lots of fenderless '33 and '34 Ford cars have been built with '37 truck grilles.

By George when you toss your '36 to the junk pile, gimme a holler, hate to see you take all the time to haul it to the scrapyrad. You know some day you'll upgrade...soo...

And yes, I can be there fairly soon, "wine country" is about 2.5 hours from me.

Curious tho, why don't you ever post pics of "junk" you scrap?...All you do is talk about it....are you for real? Or just a TROLL?

Mike, Don't let him get to ya... he's just trying to wind us all up. Think about it; after looking at the photos he posted, he's just another hoarder, he's taken a lot of time to aqquire and stash all that booty, with it all catagorised and labelled, and now seems to take some perverse delight in making out that it's all just scrap metal destined for China. I'm being polite because otherwise I'd use certain vocabulary to exactly describe what this guy is. And he is!!

Mike and Brian I agree
I think Roadster36 is related to the Guys selling parts across the pond in England !
I believe him as much as I believe those guys have a warehouse full of 1932 ford parts...

I do not believe that 37 pickup hoods interchange with 35/6 hoods. The 35/6 and the 37 have different cowls and I believe that you will find the 35/6 hood tops will not close the gap on the sides if tried on a 37. The 37 inner fender panels are also not the same as the 35/6. I have a 35 hood I just painted yesterday that is not mounted and a 37 pickup that I have not yet put the hood back onto. I will see if I can get some pictures posted tomorrow without scratching anything. 36 hood sides are not the same as 35, but the hood tops are identical, so it should give you an idea of what it would take. I do not know if the radiator filler on a 37 is in the same place on a 36, either.

I have a 39 P/U which I though was ugly for a few years but in time they grow on you and look pretty good. G.M.

My truck is a mix of 36' and 37' parts. If you look at my avatar you will see I have a 37' cab with a 36' front end. It works. Mine was assembled from components scrounged in a wrecking yard back in 51" Be sure to get a 36' hood though to go with the new grille shell. Good luck finding this stuff. I tried to get a better hood than the one I have, thought I was going to have to rob a bank.

Hopefully the pictures will post. I have a 37 pickup, the yellow one in the pictures. The green hood top is a 35 pickup...same as 36 pickup hood top. I put the green hood against the yellow cowl so that it can be seen it does not fit on the sides in the rear or in about the middle on top due to the different cowls. I have a second picture with the 35 hood top on top of the 37, showing the differnces in the rear. I then placed the 35 hood top on my 35 pickup so that it could be seen that it does fit the 35 and is not just an incorrect part. I have been called a lot of names over the years for saying that the hood tops are not interchangeable and with the gaps, I do not know how they can be without significant modification.

The 37 front is great. It looks "Ford tough"but I would save that front in case your taste changes later or you want to sell it to someone who wants a real 37
