Default Putting old piston pins in new pistons

I have a new set of Ross Racing pistons, they sure are pretty... But the wrist pins sure are hefty, I measure the wall thickness at .200...AND they weigh a whopping 120 grams each
NOW, I have saved a set of wrist pins from a low time 1937 LB engine, and they have a wall thickness of .125, they have an inside taper at the end, and weigh 80 grams. I like 'em.
Ross tech guy said OK to the lighter pins... And I'm vacilating...

I am looking for opinions with experience... Thanks, Karl

Karl: I had the same issue with the Ross piston I got for my 21 stud. We did buy new lighter pins and used the Ross retainers in the pistons. Dave
