Need T part recommendations
I need the usual lower patches and door hinges for my '27 coupe. Where should I call to get them?
I have heard too much bad stuff about Howells so I do not want to call them. |

Re: Need T part recommendations
I believe Howell's is the only one who makes them and then supplies them to the various parts suppliers.

Re: Need T part recommendations
I did find some door patches on E bay, it is Howell's. It said that they put the correct curvature in the panels where everyone else's are flat, that would tell me at least one other person makes them.
I have not heard much about them in a while so maybe they have improved, if that is the case I would like to hear it. |

Re: Need T part recommendations
If you are on a tight restoration schedule, find a supplier that sells Howell's inventory. They (Howell's) are absolutely the worst to deal with directly. Nice stuff mind you, but terrible follow-up and delivery verification. Never pre-pay in full, put a small amount down and hope for the best. The supplier can have all the headaches involved with dealing with Howell's. Just my bad experience opinion. Good luck.

Re: Need T part recommendations
Snyder's, Mac's, and Lang's are big suppliers, but I am not sure of their sheetmetal sources. Never hurts to ask them. I am sure they have heard it all too. I never had a problem with Howell's quality. My '26 T Coupe floor pans, panel below trunk lid, seat riser, and rear sub frame all matched the originals very well with easy installation. Contact customer service at the big suppliers. Good luck!
