In 1948 when I was 6 the Oscar Meyer Mobile drove past my house. It stopped and a young man got halfway out (no roll down Windows) and asked for directions for which I had a sort of answer. I ran in to tell the folks but no one would believed there was Weiner Mobile.

My parents had a small market when I was younger. Oscar Mayer would stop by in the Wienermobile and hand out "Wienerwhistles" to all the kids.

Good Stuff, thanks for sharing the picture.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wienermobile

says theres one of the 1950's versions on display at the Henry Ford museum.

From the wiki:
On July 17, 2009, a Wienermobile on a cul-de-sac in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, was attempting to turn around in a residential driveway. The driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, which lodged the Wienermobile under the house and destroyed a deck.[9]

How do you explain that one to insurance/police???

oh man that made my day!!!!

LOVE that color on a '29 Tudor it looks great. Vagabond Green??

At any rate I'd be careful driving a Weinermobile in certain parts of say San Francisco or Chicago. You might make new friends you didn't count on

Oh bee-have (Austin Powers Man of Mystery)
