Default Just Picked Up A 49 Coupe Shoebox

Thought I might share my lastest addition to the shop. Just picked this up. This 49 Ford coupe shoebox is virtually unmolested. I feel very lucky to have gotten it. Too the 2 HAMB brothers that made this happen, you know who you are. Thanks so much.

First thing is to go thru engine and mechanical, going to be a daily driver. Want to keep it basically original. Main plans are, fenderskirts, lowering blocks, wide whites, scuff and seal paint, pinstrip.

Those 49s are scarce for sure. Don't see many at National meets even. That looks like a nice car also.

I had an original 60K mile survivor. Loved the car, but the fit of body components was horrible. One reason not many are around. The '50 was a much better car.

Stop by shoeboxford.com where '49 Fords are not rare at all, a forum to ask questions or bs and our host, Chris from Shoebox Ford Parts has a yard full of parts and more. ..B.

Not sure why some can't see the pics They are up when I click on the thread. Rather than downloadimg from my computer for the small pics, I pasted them directly from my album.

I've always seen and heard this to. But I must admit this car is good as far as fits. The drivers door needs alittle adjusting(could have been hung on a friday) but overall nothing to complain about.

While you see tons of 4dr. and 2dr. sedans, I must say, the coupes are getting fairly hard to find, at least in complete and not hulked out condition.
