Default rear wheel well replacement, Fordor

Posting for a friend. Have two questions.

He has a slant window '31 that is completely rusted out in the rear portion of the wheel wells and also has some damage at the back probably from an accident. He is not a body man but is willing to learn.

He is going to try to replace the inner well and has available a replacement for a standard 31 body, not a slant window version. Would that work? Hard for him to tell since there is so much missing from rust.

Is there any publication(s) at all that would possibly give him some direction as far as this area and how to get it back to being correct?

You mean, would it work? Possibly even though they are two different lengths and shapes. Ask him why not do it correctly if he is going to the trouble of doing it.
