85hp or what?
Besides taking it apart, what is it?
The block has a raised deck at the intake but no numbers stamped in the block along the intake manifold. Has A heads but has a 2 bolt crab distributor. I took this motor out of a 41 ford sedan, but doubt its the original engine to the car. Is it just a common 85hp or is it something else? |

Re: 85hp or what?
Should be a 41 with the "raised" valley. Could be a slightly later block, but per 46 I would think.

Re: 85hp or what?
VanPelt's chart from his site: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/f...85to100mid.htm
The chart data says mid-41 thru 42 were the "raised" intake blocks. |
