getting ready to pull the trans and ship out for rebuild. Any idea how much it weighs.

I shipped a '50 Merc 3 speed non over drive side loader a while ago and boxed up it weighed 107 pounds.

I pulled my '39 a while ago to ship to CharlieNY and as I recall, it was less than 70 lbs. Sorry I can't be more precise.

Agree with RKS. When shipped in a cardboard apple box, the weight is about 65 lbs (without the shifter or Ujoint).

Agree also, somewhere around 80 when it's sitting on the garage floor, about 300 when you are crouched under the dashboard trying to wrestle it past all the obstacles...
