Default installing grease baffle on front wheels Model AA truck

I removed my front brake drums on my Model AA truck and there is considerable grease all over. I have not yet removed the grease baffle but it looks like it is currently fastened with the cup side facing in. Is this correct or should the cup side be facing out? If anyone would have a photo that would be helpful. Thankyou.

The cup side should be facing in. The original grease baffle is metal and there are groves on the outside of the cup area.

I've only seen car hubs, but is the AA setup much different from this?

Hello Bill and Bruce. thankyou for each responding! As Bill has said the cup side should face inwards but what is confusing is that seems to conflict with the drawing posted by Bruce. From the drawing it appears the bolts that attach the baffle are at the backside of the baffle and therefore it looks like the cup side is facing out. This drawing is pretty much the same set up on my Model AA as much as I can tell.

Here's a AA brake.

I believe the drawing is the correct application. On Bob C's photo, how does the baffle even function? It is inside of the slinging grease from the bearing.

Bob C's photo is correct. The grease seal is facing the correct way, cad plated piece behind the inner front wheel bearing. When the front hub is installed, any grease that gets past the grease seal to hub clearance is captured by the baffle so the grease does not get on the brake shoes. The drawing is for a Model A, so the baffle is different.

What I don't see in the photo is any baffle around the bearing, or is it part of the hub?

Is the rolled outer lip of the baffle at the tip of the arrow?

Yes, the baffle is cup shaped with the lip towards the brake backing plate. The baffle catches grease from the hub. Each bolt hold has a round spacer to support the bolt.

Are the spacers loose or attached?

So the AA has a grease seal somewhere? It still looks (in photo) like the bearing is outside the baffle, and could still sling grease onto the brake lining. My model a doesn't have any grease seal in the front wheels just a baffle.

Here are some pictures of the AA spindle, grease baffle and hub.
The spindle has a front hub dust cap mounted on the spindle just like the Model A. the hub sticks inside the grease baffle so the grease can't get on the brake shoes.

There is no grease seal as we know them today. The part number is AA/BB 1190. Ford calls it a cap (front hub dust). See the attached picture. It has a tight fit to the spindle and fits very closely to inside of the front hub and it has groves on the outside (hub) edge. You can see it in the first picture posted by Bob C. We are talking about 2 parts. 1. The baffle which catches any grease that gets by the AA/BB cap and 2 the cap. If the front wheel bearings are packet correctly, there should be very little grease getting past the cap.
The spacers on the baffle are attached to the sheet metal of the baffle.
