Default Fog Lights

Just wondering for curiosities sake, how Fog lights might have been wired back in the day? The Switch on the steering wheel only has Parking, low beam, and high beam. Would they have been wired in to the low or high beam and be always on? Or would there have been a separate switch for them?

Thanks,

Alex

A separate switch was the norm.

I wired mine with a relay and a separate switch. They are wired so when they are on, they go on and off with the standard high beams. I use landing light bulbs. It is not likely to happen but you have to be careful not to get too close to anything in front of you when they are on.
You could start a fire or burn the pain off of a rear deck....LOL
