Merc Then and Now
I put together a combination shot of the Merc parked on the same spot in 1961 and an up to date one yesterday. Camera angle was a little off as the house did not show in the earlier 1961 shot. My uncle's 53 Pontiac in the background. That might be me in the back seat of the Merc. I'd have been 7 years old.

Thanks Ralph. I know the Canadian cars in general changed the trim some. But I never knew the '53 Canadian Pontiac used the Chevy sheet metal and taillights.
I know Canadian Chrysler products in the 50's mixed it up too, like Plymouth and Dodge swapped around front and rear sheet metal. Sal |
