Default 40 Ford coupe door whiskers question

I am installing the door glass in my 40 Ford coupe project. Ready to install the door and garnish mldg "whiskers" . They come from Drake , but are not exact length , so they have to be shortened before attaching to the door glass opening and to the garnish moulding. My question is exactly where to trim them so they are the right length. Here's a couple pictures of the door and the garnish moulding, looking down from the top at the glass opening.
If someone can send pictures of their door showing where these whiskers end, that would be great.
I have done these before on other cars from the 50's. But then you had a vent window division bar that ran all the way up , so you could run the whiskers to but against it. The 40 does not have that division bar.
Any reference measurement would help. Pictures would be great.
Steve

Steve, I would suggest you install the wing window assembly to the garnish molding prior to installing the "fuzzy strip". In that way, you will see exactly the length required.
The so called "division bar" is part & parcel of the roll up window so in effect there is a "division bar".

Definitely follow Mike's advice. The whiskers on my 40 coupe are shown below as I did them many years ago. The whisker on the inside garnish molding starts even with the vent window rubber and curves up where it meets the vertical window glass channel.
The outer whisker on the window garnish molding starts 3 in. past the vent window rubber and is hidden under the rubber. It then extends along the garnish molding to where it curves and meets the vertical window glass channel. The glass window channel goes straight up and curves at the top corner of the window opening and then runs horizontally to where it stops right in front of the top of the vent window (first photo). I used the OEM whiskers as a model for my install. Vent window rubbers are DRAKE, circa. 1978.
Hope these photos help.

19Fordy is right. I cut mine too short on the outside of my 48 and as a result the vent rubber sits a little too flat.

Thanks a lot to those replies. I have finished the whisker install and am now working on the glass inside the door. I really appreciate the sharing of those experienced Ford Barners!
