First Start up question
Hey guys,
I am working toward getting my flathead running for the first time in several years. I have it turning over with the plugs out and everything seems to be fine. The cooling system has been sitting dry for a while. Is there something I should do to flush the engine out while I have the radiator off before cranking it for the first time?

Re: First Start up question
Make sure you have oil in the cylinders before turning it over again. I would throughly flush out the block before putting the radiator back inn.

Re: First Start up question
It would be prudent to flush the block (if) the openings had been left open to varmits. If they were blocked and clean before storage, I wouldn't bother.

Re: First Start up question
I had oil in the cylinders and I changed the oil before turning it over.
What is the best way to flush it? Put a water hose in the top and let it come out the bottom?
