*****SOLD PENDING PAYMENT*****************************************
For sale is the chassis, motor, and transmission for a street rod project I was working on. I've recently had serious medical issues, so this project wouldn't ever be finished. Let me outline some of the details of this unit. Frame- The frame is an original late '36 unit #18-307xxxx that has been blasted, primed and painted. The center x-member has been modified with a new bracket kit to accept a c4 transmission. Front suspension- The front suspension is the Chassis Engineering Mustang II design with adjustable upper spring mounting pads for setting ride height. The upper and lower arms are NOS Ford Mustang II parts. It has 11" Granada brake rotors with new caliper pads, wheel bearings and seals. The rack is a rebuilt Mustang II power unit with new tie rod ends.It has a Chassis Engineering sway bar kit installed. Rear end- Rear axle is a Ford Granada unit with 3.00 ratio gearing. The housing was blasted and powder coated. It has new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, and seals. The axle is mounted on Chassis Engineering semi-elliptic springs. Engine- The engine is a Ford flathead EAB unit that has been completely disassembled and cleaned in the gunk tank. I don't think this motor had ever been apart before. The cylinders are standard size and the crank is as well. There are no cracks in the valve pockets. Probably as good a block as you are going to find. It has an alternator w/mounting bracket, an electronic distributor, and a new Offenhouser 4bbl intake manifold. It is mounted in the chassis with a pair of water pump castings, but I have a rebuilt pair of pumps for it as well. Transmission- This unit is a used one. It is bolted to the motor with one of Speedway Motor's adapter kits. Brakes- Pedal is an early Ford hydraulic unit with an adapter mounting a dual master cylinder. All the brake lines have been run in the chassis. The chassis is located in Greeley, Colorado, and can be picked up there. It could used for other '35 to '40 Ford projects as well. Price is $5700.
