Default Hill Billy car

I know this is not original Ford, but though some might like to see it. Found the picture when looking for the tractor photo. This is a car I built to be like the Beverly hill billy's car. Sold it at Charlotte auto fair a few years ago. It is a Model A. the hill billy car was I think a Oldsmobile.

The "original" Clampett truck was a four-cylinder Oldsmobile, I believe a 1921.

Max Baer Jr. (Jethro) said it was a real bear to drive !

It is now in a museum or collection somewhere out west...

The author cites the film having been made in 1967... not sure where he got his info, but Ford's film starring Henry Fonda, John Carradine, and Jane Darwell was released in 1940. Their "truck" was a 1924-25 Hudson Super-Six.

I did not realize that the Clampett truck had been given to the Museum of the Ozarks...

Yes Frank. You are correct on 1940. Great old movie. One of my favorites and a great cast of characters.

Absolutely ! One of my best friends is a Hudson nut, owns a '51 Super Six and a '55 Wasp, and I've been telling him for years he needs to watch "Grapes of Wrath" - even gave him a copy for Christmas this year...

I guess I'll have to tie him to a chair and tape his eyelids open, al a "Clockwork Orange"!

Ah yes. Kind of a strange and bizarre old movie. Maybe wire that chair with 110 volts just incase the eyelids try to close. Zap.
