Default Anybody rebuild oogah horns

I have 2 12 volt horns that need some tuning. Motors work but they don't sound so good. please contact me if you can help me out. Thanks

I know these guys work on original Model A horns. Original Model A horns never came in 12 volts. Do you have pictures of the horns without covers for us to see and advise?

What make of horn? If your talking about a Hutchins from the 1960's look for posts and you will find enough information to do the work yourself if it does not involve rewinding the fields or armature. Replacing the diaphragm gasket and setting the correct tension on the diaphragm ratchet usually does it, the rest is cosmetic.

If the motor spins then it is little more then lubrication on the wavy disk and adjusting the pressure with against the diaphragm.

They also need a good connection and switch that can handle the current. If the switch is not good or the electrical path bad then it will not work right. So check the wires and the ground path.
