Default 47 convertible 12V ??

Another 12V question... Has anyone tried to run the convertible relay, switch, and motor on 12 volts? What's involved? Will the convertible system run on 12V, or, does it need to be modified with 12V parts?
Or, is 6V the only practical way to run the convert motor?

On our '47 rag top we just put a 12V solenoid on the top motor.

We converted our 1947 Merc. Convert from 6V 60 12v, we run our
original motor to power our top with no problem.
