9 1/2 " flywheel
whats the easiest way to identify a 9 1/2 " flywheel . Ive got a wheel i thought was a 10" 8ba, but a 10" presure plate will not line up with the bolt holes, which are 5/16.

Re: 9 1/2 " flywheel
Are you talking fly wheel or clutch disk? The 9 1/2 " 53 clutch disk is 9 1/2 "

Re: 9 1/2 " flywheel
The 9-1/2in. wheel has got to be an 8BA style with the narrow ring gear, not the 59AB style wheel with the wide gear. The 9-1/2 wheel is a Ford not a Merc. it takes the long style pressure plate with 3 sets of two 5/16 bolts, not the Morg and Beck Merc plate with 6 evenly spaced 3/8 bolts. The earlier 9in. pressure will not bolt on a 9-1/2in. wheel. Walt

Re: 9 1/2 " flywheel
The bolt holes are 3" C/C and 7 1/2" apart. Just measured mine. Hope this helps. JIM. T.
