Default Clutch Release Fork Positioning

With my restoration process I always seem to come upon a situation where it's not covered in the many restoration books I have.

My question has to do with the positioning of the release fork that I already have attached to the release fork shaft. It looks Okay to me, but I just wanted to get your input before I button up things.

I found out I have a few different styles of release forks. The one which I have currently attached to the release shaft has a flat spot on one end and a rounded end on the other end. The way this release fork is positioned would have it come into contact with the throw-out bearing hub would be on the flat end of the release fork.

Does this look right in the way the release fork is installed that would work properly, or should it be reversed on the shaft?

Thanks in advance to all that provide input to my question.

I think you have it on the shaft backwards.

Tom's picture looks normal, but I've never seen a fork as you have pictured.
Do you have a fork like Tom's?

I think I have a release fork like Tom's. Perhaps that would be the real answer that I'm looking for. Thanks!

It looks like the fork in your picture is not from the Model A era but was used during the early V-8 era and was sold as a replacement for the Model A fork during that time. It should be fine for use in a Model A, provided it is installed in the correct position, with the rounded surface facing forward.
