Default Fuel Pump Push Rod

I have two, both the same length - about 9". The one on the left's flared part is 1 3/8" diameter and the one on the right is 1 5/8". Is there any functional difference between the two? I'm putting one of them in a 221.

Thanks

The only thing I can think of is the small one is lighter so you can go faster

You're not very observant, are you?

The one on the left has a shadow.

I take it it's not a concern. Thanks for the humor.
