Early vs late 32 ring gear tooth profile
Hello
Does anyone know if Ford used the same gear tooth profile for both tha early 32 and model a 4.11:1 gear set as the later 32 and onwards? The reason for asking is that I'm building a rearend with mixed and matched parts with a carrier from a Chevrolet (yes I said it). I could turn down a 34 ring gear I have, but it would be alot easier if the model a early 32 have the same tooth profile. Best regards, Magnus Last edited by Magnus B; 01-15-2020 at 10:24 AM. Find the tooth count for both and that will tell you a good bit. If they have the same count then it depends on the teeth. It could be a lot of work to find out it won't work. Why use a Chevy carrier? Using different axle shafts? Last edited by rotorwrench; 01-15-2020 at 10:16 AM. |
