A new car to me
I will be picking up a new car to me after the Portland Swap Meet that belonged to a V8 Club friend who passed away recently. While the heads are not "flat" I am hoping my other cars with "flat" heads will keep me from being booted out. There are a couple of pictures in my folder list of the car.
Previous owner and I had similar skills, metal work, paint, mechanical etc. Car is all steel, all Ford. |

I don't think that anyone will fault you for buying that! How about a full pic of the car?

Holy Cow! OHV, and not a bowtie in sight. Having seen your shop and buildings, your collection and your dedication the the 'flock' I can say without reservation that this latest Ford has found an exceptional steward. Congratulations on this Holy Grail!

Re: A new car to me
Thanks Gary! I am happy to purchase this but sorry to lose a friend.
If you go to my photo albums, there are 2 of the car itself. I now have 2 cars with Zora's fingerprints on them, the other however is plastic and has the original Rochester FI Zora insisted upon. Last edited by deuce_roadster; 03-26-2023 at 11:49 AM. |

Re: A new car to me
When I see something like this. I wonder if it was build for performance, or aesthetics. But it sure looks good.

Re: A new car to me
Performance Ron. The carbs can be touchy, but it DOES get with the program! When the engine was being built, he had Ed Eskandarian make the cam. At the time, his neighbor owned Performance Coatings Inc and he had all the space age coatings for thermal barriers, hardness, wear, etc done on everything inside the engine that could matter, cam, lifters rockers etc. The local race people have the same things done. When I stopped by the business, I was shown a bunch of Porsche ring and pinions being done. The coatings don't change the measurment specs as are extremely thin. The process is similar to powder coating.
