Default 29 tudor color puzzle

My 29 tudor is vagabond green (light green) with rock moss green (very dark green) trim and upper back. I am sanding it back in preparation for refinishing it. All my research (which includes factory photos showing masked bodies) indicates that when originally painted the main (lower) body color was shot first then, after masking the trim color was shot. But that is not what I am finding. I clearly see rock moss green underneath the vagabond coat. Check the attached picture.

Has anyone else seen trim color underneath the lower body color when sanding back a model A they were restoring?
