Re: Time marches on
Many thanks for all the well wishes and words of support. I am heading off to bed now, as I have to leave by 4.30am to get to the VA hospital by 6. I will check in when I return, if all goes well.

Re: Time marches on
ISN'T this AMAZING, not only can we share Model A fixin' info, but we can encourage & pray for one another during tough times. Some of us are OLD & life has taken its' TOLL on us! God does AMAZING things, when we pray & BELIEVE! Death is just a part of life, we just don't know WHEN, WHERE & HOW??

Re: Time marches on
I don't pray but I'm also rootin for ya. All are correct about modern medicine and procedures and I'm hoping you had a great result. The few I've known who had this seemed years younger after recovery.

I am home, and recovering slower than I had hoped for. The pain and swelling is starting to subside, but the weakness headaches, and lack of energy is difficult. Today I walked up to the barn to look at my cars, but just took a quick look and walked back to the house an into bed. I hope to feel better by the end of the week, but feel pretty badly just now. My nurse says I am doing ok, and to be patiant and it will come. I have a cut from my ear to my collar bone, and lots of stitches. It looks bad to me, but my girlfriend says it looks good. |

Re: Time marches on
Bill,
I'm glad to hear that it went ok and that you are back home. It's a blessing that the problem was discovered and that it was taken care before it could do damage. I know you don't feel too great right now, but you should be back to normal before too long. Let us know when you are back to driving your cars again. Take care, Neil |

Re: Time marches on
Glad to hear that you're back home! Take your time and do what the Doctors say. Those cars can wait another month. And the weather will be much better by then as well!

Re: Time marches on
Feeling a bit better today, but still very weak. Hung out the clothes and checked the mail, and needed to lie down.
Thanks for all the encouragement. It is taking a lot longer than I had thought, but I muust be pacient. The bandages finally fell off revealing the big incision, and while it is bad looking, the swelling is going down. Bill |
