Default 49-53 Harmon and Collins dual coil (nice )

Pretty rare for sure , but a nice one !! 1949-1953 Harmon Collins dual coil set up.Uses ford points and a corvette distributor cap......

Jim,
This H & C has a for sure cool factor....and I wish it was mine....but what
is it's advantage over my favorite....the sbc/8ba dist with the Bosch Blue coil ?

Does this H&C use the same high voltage parts as the crab?

Very little other than the fact of running twin coils ( two four cylinder ignitions) allowing higher dwell time and added reliabiltiy at high rpm. I suggest using the Bosch blues ( paint them if ya like) with these units....
These were made way before the invention of the orange motors and took a place in history........they do look pretty cool...

Pete , these use a different list of parts from the crab based on the load a matic..

The spark advance is totally at the mercy of the Load-a-matic. Not so good with multiple carbs. I used to have one.
