1935 sedan delivery rear door latch
Does the 35-36 rear door latch interchange with any other applications?
Can someone post pictures of one? thanks |

It is unique to Sedan Deliveries from 35-39.

My '42 Sedan Delivery uses the same latch as the drivers door.

Re: 1935 sedan delivery rear door latch
When I did my deuce delivery Doug who was making the wood kits had determined thru comparing the latch on his 2 deliveries that they were very close to if I remember a Model A 4 door rear door latch. He was furnishing them with his wood kit and they worked and looked perfect. I wonder of Henry repurposed in a similar manner the rear door latch for later model deliveries? Henry never wasted anything.

Re: 1935 sedan delivery rear door latch
Great looking delivery and glad you found a lock. Mine is a 39 delivery and looked just like your body. It was in a junk yard with the frame cut off in the front and back just before the rear end. I had a devil of a time finding a lock, so happy for you 20 years after I found mine.
I doubt if they match any other early V8 lock since it uses a keyed lock. It would need a right hand door keyed lock such as a driver's door which Henry did not supply with a key. Maybe foreign left drive vehicles |

Re: 1935 sedan delivery rear door latch
Somehow Doug added a lock to the A latch that was in the stock 32 delivery spot?
