Default Crank pulley

I need to remove the double crank pulley and install a single crank pulley.
Do I have to be concerned with anything as far as leaking around the pulley shaft? I also removed the timing cover to clean, is there any sealing I need to do where the cover meets the oil pan?
Thank you,
Joe

Sorry Walt. It is in my 35 coupe, but it's a 1946 59AB motor

I'm pretty sure the 58AB crank pulley with the 2 sheves with fit in the 35 frame with out the front pulley hitting the cross member, also you can have the front pulley cut off on a lathe, ( just the pulley, don't shorten the length) there is a front oil pan seal, 2 piece, one in the oil pan and one in the front cover, also you may rip the oil pan gasket where the front cover meets the pan. I would think you would removing the oil pan to clean out and install the front cover and then a new pan gasket. Walt

Walt, sorry to be a pain. Will I have to replace the front and rear rope seals? Right now, the motor doesn't leak out of the front and very little in the rear.
Thanks for your time!

Well, what are you doing? If you have the pan and front cover off you might as well replace front seals, if the rear leak don't bother you don't worry about it. Walt

Be sure the new pulley has a nice true surface for the seal to ride on and not grooved.
