Default '48 F1 fuel tank sending unit

Got a call into Fred at Southside but haven't heard back.

Which one of these is correct for a '48 F-1 ?
Looks like the same listing with different numbers?

I'd bet on the 7RC listing.

Thanks for that Ross…..
I’ve spotted a few “interesting” listings in that book over the years. This is another one.

I've got a 1948-50 truck parts book and 21C is for panel trucks and step vans.

PLEASE let us know if you find one to buy as those KS units are super rare these days.

I’m sure I’ll find one eventually. Didn’t realize I was going to need/want one back in 2015 when I got the truck. The operation of my aftermarket sender has become pretty sporadic as the fuel level goes down……

THOSE sending units are really rare and expensive if you find one. If you have the patience of a tooth ache you can remove your present sending unit, take it apart, clean the points and make minor adjustments that will repair your unit.
It might be something as simple as a hairline crack in the fuel bowl. If you do a Fordbarn search on GAS TANK SENDING UNIT lots of info appears, like this:

Firstrider (aka Dennis Dahle) has a unit harvested from a parts truck available.

I’ve got a NOS unit coming from a picker.
We shall see what we shall see I guess…..

So, this is how this worked out....
I extended the float arm, calibrated its operation and I'm good to go.
(way more accurate than the sweeping gauge needle I had with the aftermarket sending unit)
