greasing speedo gears and others...
I used wheel bearing grease for the speedo gear and roller bearing.....is that ok? or is the speedo gear supposed to be lubed from the U-joint?
is wheel bearing grease OK for the rear axle roller bearings, or is wheel brng grease just for High temp ball bearings? It all seems the same to me. thanks, fordman |

Re: greasing speedo gears and others...
I would think the lube you used on the speedo gear and the drive shaft bearing would be fine. For the rear wheel bearings many of the guys use Sta-Lube SL-3131 it is a long fiber wheel bearing grease for drum brakes, and available at NAPA. Call first it seems the NAPA stores don't carry it on their shelf any more but can get it the next day from their warehouse.
