Default Syners Grease Fitting set - Modern Style

Hello,
I just purchased the Grease Fitting Set, Modern style for my 1928 I also got the press. My question to the crew here is, if I see threads on these can I use the press to put them into the holes that are on my front Brake actuator part.

Thanks!

Make sure they are threads and not ridges.
Press in have ridges.

If the old fittings were not threaded, then tere are no threads.
The new style fittings I have used are too big and will not drive in. Try one, yours may be ok.

Curtis in MA has it right. Compare the threaded fittings to the fittings with ridges, side by side. The drive in with the ridges have a smaller diameter than the threaded fittings. At least they work for me. If not, check with Snyders.

The front actuator has press in grease fittings. If you see threads then someone before you threaded them.

I used the press in new style by carefully using a grinder around the circumference to get a press fit. Trial and error.

When I rebuilt the front ends on my A's, I tapped the grease fitting holes and used the screw in grease fittings.

That is the best way to do it. On my parts the existing holes were too big fpr 1/8 pipe and not enough meat to go 1/4”.
