Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
I found this photo claiming to be 1928 special coupe. It looks like a 28/29 Model A with my limited experience

Never existed except in this picture. Homebuilt fake.

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
There were 2 prototype 30-31 3 window Coupes made, one with a straight windshield and another with a slant windshield. The S/W Coupe evidently still exists.
As for this creation, James nailed it pretty good! I've seen a couple 30-31 Coupes done the same way as this Coupe and they look as out of proportion as this one does. |

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
This one looks like a truck that had a coupe rear section added except the rear of the cab is 30/31 style not 28/29. Looks odd to say the least.

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
I noticed that the car is "wrong hand drive". There's a few odd foreign Fords out there. That one's not too hateful. I kinda like it...

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
I think you can buy a fiberglass three window coupe. I think some of the circle track people liked them. I know the three window coupes from 32 to 36 bring big bucks but I like the five window coupes better. I think they just look better. All old Fords are cute and they all bring back happy memories. I always felt sorry for kids in high school that drove some ugly old Dodge or Chevy.

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
Looking at the brace above the latch pillar it appears to made from a Sport/Business Coupe. With no provision for a rear belt moulding it looks a bit odd.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I wonder what this back section came from, the rear window looks too short, but I don't see any welds were it was chopped.

This is one of the survivors, taken at the San Diego National Meet many years ago.

Re: Was there a 3 window Model A coupe
Long shot but does anyone have any further pics of the 31 Slant Window 3W coupe prototype?
