Early T archives
Does anyone know where I can locate ownership history of my 1914 Touring? I have a Wisconsin title that goes back to 1926, but have no record prior to that. This is my family owned car, and we believe that the person on that title was the 1st owner. Does Ford Motor Co., have a archives forum? (I know that they lost a lot of early records in a fire) any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Skolzie

Re: Early T archives
Hi,
We are still looking for this. When I say we, I mean me, because my dad, having made the big trip to heaven, passed the car on to me recently. If anyone knows of a place to find this information, I would appreciate it. Thank you, Greg (Son of Skolzie) |

Does the dealership still exist? They might have records. Otherwise no. The state might have records but the cost of a search might be high.

Dealership. That's a great idea.
I may have some paperwork somewhere with info on that. I'll dig into it. Thank you. |

Re: Early T archives
There are "some" records on which 1914 Model T's were shipped to which dealership. If you know the name of the dealership it could be possible. Perhaps 15% of shipping records exist for 1914 Model T's. You would have to go there yourself, and request the viewing of the Accounts Receivables folders.

I'm still looking through papers, for any references to the original dealership. Thank you |
