Turned 57 Back last september. My wife 22 years to my junior thought that she married a old guy but sometimes she says that I act like a 30 year old . She indicated that I am always wound up and wonders how I can keep up the pace.

If someone does that, don't forget to account for the date of the post. If they were 70 in 2011 They are older now.

I'm 57 now but started playing with old cars when I was 14. My dad let me buy a '40 Buick that I dissected to learn all I could and to restore it. I learned a heck of a lot with that car. I used to attend monthly meetings with the Vermont Automobile Enthusiasts (VAE) throughout high school. I was always the young buck and others would let me ride with them. The group was very welcoming though I don't know where any of those guys are today. One of the members let me drive his 1928 Reo fire truck to the Stowe auto show. What a blast, mechanical brakes and spark advance on the steering wheel. It was pretty neat that I would be trusted as a young driver with that truck. Today, my kids can't drive my cars until they are 25 for the insurance rules.

I'm 70 yrs and current project is a '39 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe. In my work center (garage) the finished cars are '34 Ford Cabriolet and '34 Ford 5W Coupe.

Hi there, Im 69 this month. Married 44 years. She is not as well as me. Hard to have a positive outlook for this world anymore. So many sad things happening but, dogs and 1934 Fords do make me very HAPPY.

It is really gratifying to see younger people (under80) using the Fordbarn!
Now, is anyone trying to compile these data and let us know our average age, how many in the 20's, etc? I would try but have difficulty using the computer for such tasks. Royal |
