Default A Ford film, but NOT model A! LOL

This 1967 Ford film predicts what life will be like in the distant future of 1999! They got quite a few predictions right, but missed completely an essential aspect of life today. Watch the film first and see if you can spot it, then return here and scroll down to see if you got it:

The answer follows. Don't read it if you want to guess first.

To Ford in 1967 the future was entirely analog. They had no idea of the digital revolution that was to overtake not only daily life, but the function and production of their automobiles.

these types of videos/ books always entertain me - sure its not 100% spot on but very very similar. Be interesting if any of those actors are still alive today that made that film and have them re-watch it and interview thier thoughts.

I missed the part where a bunch of old farts that refuse to accept change try to escape in cars that are almost 100 years old and they get hit with the GAMMA RAY gun and they are instantly changed into bright young adults that embrace all that is modern and they happily work for the EPA inventing gasoline that consists of chunks of corn cobs.
