assembly plant number
according to dave sturgess, he believes that "Some "F" bodies were assembled outside of the U.S. and have Canadian engine numbers. In fact there is a almost equal mix of U.S.and Canadian assembled cars with "F" series assembly plant numbers. This would tend to indicate that the "F" series numbers came from a mojor assembly plant and is probably Detroit Mi. The "F" series was modified in 1929" etc F-1334 is in Ohio F-5065 is in Ontario so yours falls right in between all this information can be found at www.modelaford.org/assembly.html tom <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Hi tom Thanks for the reply Canadian cars manufactured with Robertson screws were only made in Canada because of the patent on the robertson head screw. Henry ford didnt want to pay my roberson his american royaltys fees so they were only manufactured in Canada so as far as I know so far. Cheers Michael <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> <ul>[*]My roadster[/list] |
