The previous posts are correct. Remember if you run hydraulic brakes with any wire wheels you need an adapter. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...=1#post1286293 Don't leave home without it.

Thirty six wheels are 16 inch but won't fit the model A because they have a really wide lug bolt pattern that is similiar to old volkswagen beatles. . Some call the 36 thru 39 wheels spider wheels

Thanks Purdy. I saw some '36 wheels for sale on Craig's List and I was wondering if they would work. Now I won't waste my money.

You might ask the person if they are wire wheels? Are there pictures? Sometimes people don't know what they have. If you buy wire wheels be sure to spin them to be sure they are straight (most arn't).

David , You are very welcome . If the wheels are really 1936 Ford wheels they won't be spoke wheels . The wheels that were used on 1936 , 37 , 38 and 39 Ford cars were 16 inch spider wheels with wide spaced lug bolt holes similar to the old volkswagen beatles .
