Door glass removal - 1930 Coupe

What's the trick to getting the door glass out of the door on a 1930 Coupe ? I've removed everything, even the channel, but it still won't come out. There's no room to turn the glass sideways, because it hits the rubber bumper pad on the bottom brace of the door panel. I'm assuming the glass must be turned longways and then removed through the window opening in the door, but it won't turn. Do I have to remove the rubber bumper to get the glass to turn, or am I on the wrong track completely ? Thanks for your help......
