I sent parts back to Obsolete and Classic auto parts three weeks ago. 13 business days ago they say they issued credit back to my card. I still don't have it and all I get from them is they issued it and now it's up to their bank to send it. I think in this modern time 13 business days is way too long for this happen.

Around here about 3 buisness days is std for money to reach a mastercard...
If there´s no money in their bank acct it may take forever...lol

Maybe call the customer service number on the back of your card and ask them what the normal procedure is.

My experience has been that the retailer submits the credit to the credit card company, but the credit card company holds off before posting the credit to the cardholder. Not the retailers fault.

I ordered bearings from them and they arrived yesterday without a hitch. Great communication before the order no issues at all.

I would order again, again, and again if need to.

That is way too long.
I recently bought a large quantity of grade 8 nuts on EBAY to restock my shop.
The order was shipped but short on several items by half the amount ordered.
There was an e-mail and note with the order that a refund would be issued to cover the shorted items.
It never happened.
I contacted EBAY and PayPal both.
It turns out this company has a history of the same behavior.
EBAY made it right.
These companies are quick to take your order and not so quick to follow through.
I doubt there was fraud involved in your case but take action immediately. No action on your part give them the go ahead to do it again rather than repairing their in-house problems in accounting.

Ebay and others are automated. Less the seller puts a limit on volume it'll all go through the system to be sorted later.

I called Obsolete and Classic Auto Parts Oklahoma today. Turns out they issued STORE credit but never told me that's what they did. There's a 20% restock even though they didn't know these were for a V8 only. I'm supposed to get my refund minus the 20% in the next day or so.

If they sold you the item saying it would fit your vehicle...taking a restocking fee is definitely in the grey area.
The restocking fee is if you change your mind...not them doing a mistake.

They said they were for the 42 Ford, I never thought to ask V8 or 6 and they never said either way. Oh well, lesson learned, next time ask everything about everything

I've written on these pages more than once about my "SATISFACTION" with this OKC outfit. Many, many of their offerings have the appearance and fit of stuff being pounded-out in the back room, not to mention their "hen house ways" when it comes to customer satisfaction when there's a problem. I ran into a bit different refund situation last month.
Bought some stuff over the phone from a small vendor using my credit card but it got charged twice.
Called the vendor a few days later who checked his records and agreed to refund the 2nd charge.
Problem was he used PayP@l to issue the credit to my card.
Called PayP@l with the transaction ID info from his email but they could not tell me anything so I crossed my finders and the credit finally showed up about a week later.

I got my money today. Two days after I talked to them. I also the full purchased price no 20% restocking taken out. I'm happy now.
