Door Hinge Pin
My slant window '31 has side mirrors that were hung on the top door hinge on each side. I didn't put them on but whoever did sleeved the door pin hole. It is still large enough to let the bolt go through to hold the mirror. But the hole is not big enough to allow a regular slant window pin(Brattons) to fit in. If I remove the sleeve there is too much slop in the replacement pin.
I want to get rid of these mirrors. Short of finding a machinist to try and shave down the pin, are there any other options to resolve this? Been thinking there may be some other pins available elsewhere that I could make work. All help appreciated. Thanks |
