Default A trip to Michigans Upper Penninsula

The wife and I traveled north to visit family over the fourth and took the coupe for the freindly back roads. Unfortunatly, many family members that I held dear are dead and gone, prompting us to take a detour to the cemetary. Even though it is a very small town, there was no shortage of patriotism every where we went, including the the small cemetary.
It is indeed God's Country up there.

I live in the country near a small town. Everyone is neighborly and patriotic.Would never consider a city. Glad you had a good trip.

You all have the chance to see the beautiful Upper Peninsula in 2012 at the MAFCA National convention in Marquette.. Plan now to attend. There is also lots of Henry Ford history up there.

I will be up there the end of August. I love it up there, but the wife doesn't want to move there.

I live in and was born and raised here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I was absent from here for 47 years as I did a career in the Navy and in Federal Civil Service but after I retired, I moved back home. We absolutely love it up here despite the cold & snow in the winter. We currently reside in Keweenaw Bay, MI.
