Default '47 Fordor Starter Button Removal?

How is the starter button removed on a '47 fordor? Not sure if the ring is screwed on from outside the dash or not. Thought I would ask before I tear something up.

I just removed mine and reinstalled it on the 48. I just pushed it out from the back side.

The button snaps into the dash. There are two spring loaded clips on the sides of the button. Reach in behind the dash and squeeze the clips and push outward to get it out of the dash.
