Re: Ford Photos
Just realized I have not posted a pic of the 52 Merc in this thread. So here it is as of last November. Still not running. I have spark at the points but not at the plugs. It has been too cold to do much on it lately.

Re: Ford Photos
Thanks Tony. Every car in here took a TON of work and I applaud them all. I think most of the cars here were done by their owners and not done via a checkbook. I know I can't afford to pay someone to work on my cars.

Thanks for the picture. It looks like my first car, gray '37 fordor deluxe with sealed beam headlights. It didn't have whitewalls though. I paid $175 for the car in 1950 and took my driving test in it on my 16th birthday. This was a lot of money back then as there was still a car shortage. I paid for it with money I saved during and after the war from vegetables I sold from our garden. Robert |

Yours reminded me a bit of one I built back in 1982... I had to make all of the wood too, but mine only took a year to complete. It never won a Dearborn, but it take a first place in the "Stock" class, at a model show held by the Goodguys at their Western Nationals. I like yours better! |

Re: Ford Photos
Here are a couple of photos that I haven't shown before. The B/W is dated July 1957, the month I bought the truck and my favourite date, Barbara, then and now sits on the hood. Also the only covered bridge left in Ontario.
Cheers, Byron.

My 38 at the abandoned Waiuta Gold Mine last Xmas.Abandoned in 1953, although the last to leave was only a few years ago. An article in the newspaper recently said it is the most toxic place in New Zealand!!! Glad we didn't drink the water!
