31 model a gas sediment bowl?
Anyone have a diagram on how the insides of the bowl goes? I’ve tried a rubber and/or cork gasket first, then the filter with spring and the just tried a rubber gasket and screen but every time I tighten it up it leaks. A couple times I tightened it up to much and it quit leaked but the gas quit coming out but I could loosen it and it ran but leaked. Confused 🤷www.jalopyjournal.net♂️

Which bowl do you have, 3 choices, there is one with glass bowl, one with all cast iron, both of these on the firewall, and in late 31 one on the carb ----

Good Morning...You might wish to check to see if your gas cap has clogged up...or your fuel line from the tank to the filter has some foreign material in it...Ernie in Arizona

Re: 31 model a gas sediment bowl?
I agree with Ernie in post number 5 . The gas cap probably isn't venting . As for the leak ,The thick paper gasket always worked best for me with the glass bowl . Besides the look , the cast iron bulb is my favorite because it uses a lead gasket that works well and doesn't need replacement as often .
