32 rear spring
I would like to lower the rear of my 32 coupe maybe 2 inches. How many spring leafs could be removed safely?

Re: 32 rear spring
I have a 32 Tudor sedan
To lower it, I reversed the main leaf, then removed (starting from the bottom), the 3rd leaf, then skipped one , then removed the next. I then made a spacer to take up the gap so the U bolts would work accordingly. This lowered the car a bit more than 3" In your case, just reverse the main leaf, and remove one leaf should do it for about a 2" drop. After you reverse the main leaf, you will have to cut back the ends of the first leaf so that it doesn't bind into the reversed spring eyes. Make sense? |

Re: 32 rear spring
I have four `32 frames, that all have the kick up over the rear axle bashed in and swelled out by the rear axles bottoming out against them. This I would assume was caused with the stock springs in place. And I even have a rear axle with the top of the housing dented in from bottoming out.

Re: 32 rear spring
Some of these cars were driven a little wild over rough terrain.
