Model B Engine
Hello, I have a new to me 31 Ford with a B Engine installed. What is the best service/Specs manual to have? Also, looking to do an oil change. Does it take 4-5 quarts /10w-30? Thanks

Re: Model B Engine
10-30 is a good choice. Add 4 quarts and then check the dipstick and add till it is between full and low if more is needed. The owners manual is the first book to get.

The Model "B" engine was in vehicle production from 1932 through 1934, so the Ford owner's manuals and service bulletins for these years is the factory literature. The big green book has lots of sketches and part number info for the Model "B" engine. The Model "B" engine was made for service and commercial applications by outside vendors up until WW2. These engine are the so called Diamond Blocks."
