Default Paint scheme

A neighbor has a 28 or 29 two door that has a paint scheme different from any I have seen. The top of hood and above the beltline is black, the center portion and all below the beltline is straw color, the fenders are black. Is this a Ford paint scheme or some custom?

That is what I thought. The car has been in a barn for at least 30 years or more.

The owner who selected the paint scheme you saw likely shared my opinion. I did it my way, not the Ford way. In my opinion, Model A color schemes are way too dark and boring.

Hi McGarrett! I had a minor accident that knocked the hubcap off of the wheel. All is fixed now with a brand new hubcap.

What were standard colour schemes in the US are not necessarily standard colour schemes in other countries. I've lost count of the number of times I've had people tell me my car came in any colour so long as it is black. I love watching the expression on their faces change as I tell them that was for the Model T and then only for a few years and only in the US. At the same time, Model Ts came in about half a dozen colours here. Not sure whether black was even an option.
