Default Mercury hub cap-center cap question

Anyone know of a source for the hub caps shown in this photo?? I had one in the trunk of the 54 Mercury I bought, but I think it's for a 55 or 56.

These "Dog Dish" Hubcaps with the white centre are correct for the 1956 Mercury Medalist

The Centres on the 1953-1955 models were pained Red.
In 1956, the Centres were painted off White.

Hi Bob, As I live in Australia, there are none here. The last year that Ford Australia sold the Mercury was 1948. I believe that they are not that common. I have one in my collection of Mercury Hubcaps and teh Centre is unpainted. If I found another one, I could paint the Centres of one Red and the other White. Regards Mercman <><

E-bay. Do a search and then save it. They do come up quite often.

I like the looks of those hub caps. Do any of you know if they will fit on a stock 1951 Mercury steel wheel? Might want to try and find a set for my Y- Block powered Model a coupe. Thanks for any thoughts and info.--- Jim

Every now and then I look at eBay to see if I can find a set of dog dishes for my 53, but in more than six months I haven't found anything.. The large ones are much more available

Do the search and then save the search. Ebay will notify you when they come up. They show up from time to time.

Question Re: Mercury hub cap-center cap question

How is the cap held to the wheel? Does it snap over the three knorbs (?) on the wheel itself?

I can see a set on chrome reverse wheels ...
